LED floodlights are also called spotlights or spotlights. They are mainly used for architectural decorative lighting and commercial space lighting. They have heavy decorative components and have round and square shapes, because heat dissipation must generally be considered. Their appearance is somewhat different from traditional floodlights.
The commonly used LED flood lights in the market basically use 1W high-power LEDs (each LED element has a high-efficiency lens made of PMMA, and its main function is to secondarily distribute the light emitted by the LED, that is, secondary optics) , There are also a few companies that choose 3W or higher power LEDs because of the good heat dissipation technology. LED flood light is suitable for flood light in large occasions, buildings and other lighting.
Types of LED flood light:
1. Rotationally symmetrical shape
The luminaire adopts a rotationally symmetrical reflector, and the symmetry axis of the light source with rotationally symmetrical light distribution is installed along the axis of the reflector. The iso-intensity curve of this type of luminaire is concentric circles. This type of spotlight will get an elliptical spot on the illuminated surface when it is illuminated by a single lamp, and the illuminance is uneven, but when multiple lamps are illuminated, these spots overlap each other, which can produce a satisfactory lighting effect. For example, in sports stadiums, hundreds of rotationally symmetrical projection lamps are usually installed on high towers around the stadium to obtain high illuminance and high uniformity lighting effects.
2. Two symmetry
The iso-intensity curve of this type of projection lamp has two symmetry planes, and the lamps mostly use symmetrical cylindrical reflectors and install the linear light source along the cylindrical axis.
3. A symmetry
There is only one symmetry plane for the isoluminous intensity curve of the luminaire. The luminaire adopts an asymmetric cylindrical reflector or a symmetrical cylindrical reflector with a light-limiting grid, which is typically a sharp cut-off block retracted light distribution. This kind of light intensity distribution can obtain a satisfactory illuminance distribution with a single lamp. .
4. Asymmetrical shape
The isoluminous intensity curve of this type of luminaire has no symmetry plane, and it mainly uses mixed-light luminaires with different types of light sources with large differences in light intensity distribution, as well as special lamps designed according to the specific lighting requirements of the place of use.
