Principle and classification of LED landscape lights
LED is the abbreviation for light emitting diode. Improving the luminous efficiency of LEDs and reducing their calorific value is a major direction for future LED research. LEDs can be divided into the following categories according to different methods:
(1) According to the luminous color of the luminous tube. According to the luminous color of the luminous tube, it can be divided into red, orange, green, blue and so on.
(2) According to the package structure. According to the structure of light-emitting diodes, there are full epoxy encapsulation, metal base epoxy encapsulation, ceramic base epoxy encapsulation, and glass encapsulation.
(3) According to luminous intensity. According to the luminous intensity, there are ordinary brightness LED (luminous intensity <10mcd), high-brightness LED (luminous intensity 10mcd~100mcd), and high-brightness LED (luminous intensity>100mcd).
Advantages of LED landscape lights
(1) Energy saving: LED lamps with the same luminous efficiency are more than 80% more energy-saving than incandescent lamps, and 50% energy-saving than energy-saving lamps. Calculated on the basis of 500 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity consumption for lighting in my country, if all LED lights are used, it will save more than 200 billion kilowatt-hours a year.
(2) Long lifespan: The lifespan of LED light sources can reach 50,000 hours to 100,000 hours, which is more than 10 times longer than that of traditional light sources. Long lifespan not only saves a lot of resources, but also reduces the environmental impact of waste lamps.
(3) Good color rendering: LED light source is bright and pure in color. The color rendering of white light LEDs is also much better than that of high pressure sodium lamps. The color rendering index of high pressure sodium lamps is only about 20, while white light LEDs can reach 65~80, which is closer to white light than the light emitted by many traditional lamps. Under this kind of light, The color of an object can be closer to its true color.
(4) Fast response speed: Automotive signal lights are an important field of LED light source applications. The rapid response of automotive signal lights is of great significance to reducing traffic accidents.
(5) Flexible application: Various colors can be changed on the basis of the three primary colors of red, green and blue, and various shapes and patterns can be combined according to needs. The LED can achieve smooth continuous dimming function. By adjusting the duty cycle of the voltage and the operating frequency, the luminous intensity of the LED can be effectively adjusted.
(6) Environmental protection: no harmful metals, no ultraviolet and infrared radiation.
